Type of Curl
Once you determine the type of hair you have, you can then define the type of curl you have. Hair are classified according to the type of curl or the degree of the S-shape and texture.
Andre Walker, Oprah's stylist worked out a hair classification system as described in his book 'Andre Talks Hair'. It has been adopted and modified (ex. Naturally Curly) and includes the types: 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b, 2c, 3a, 3b, 3c, 4a and 4b. This system can be used a a guide with 1a being the thinnest and straightest and 4b being the thickest ans curliest.
So, you are probably thinking your a type 3a or 4b..most of you will have one type of curl on your head but strangely enough some of us may have different types/ patterns of curls on our head. I guess that makes it even harder huh!?
Well here we hope to help you determine the type of hair you have.
